Scheduled maintenance on Shared Windows server

Dear Customer,

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing reliable, secure, and high-performing hosting services, we will be migrating your shared hosting services to our cloud-based infrastructure. This migration will help improve performance, strengthen security, and enhance the stability and scalability of your hosting environment.

Expected Impact

1. Service Downtime

Your hosting services will be unavailable for approximately 5 hours during the migration. We will make every effort to minimize the downtime and restore all services as quickly as possible.

2. Email Migration to SmarterMail

MailEnable is being discontinued, and your email services will be migrated to SmarterMail. Your existing mailboxes and email data will be migrated as-is.

SmarterMail will use a dedicated IP address, separate from your web hosting server. Below is the new mail server IP address:

• Sdin-pp-wb1.webhostbox.net - 66.116.230.25

3. MySQL Database Configuration

MySQL will be hosted locally on the web server instead of on a remote server. Our migration scripts will attempt to automatically replace the remote MySQL IP address with localhost.

Once the migration is complete, please verify that your websites and applications that depend on MySQL are functioning as expected.

What Do You Need to Do?

The action required depends on where your domain's DNS is managed.

1. If you use Hosting Name Servers or BigRock Name Servers

No action is required. We will update the MX record after the migration is completed.

2. If you use External DNS

If your domain's nameservers are managed by a third-party DNS provider, you will need to update the MX and A records with the new mail server details after the migration.

Please configure the records in the following format:

<yourdomain.com> IN MX mail.<yourdomain.com> mail.<yourdomain.com> IN A <New Mail IP>

Replace <yourdomain.com> with your actual domain name and <New Mail IP> with the new mail server IP address provided above.

Recommended: To minimize potential email disruption during the transition, we recommend reducing the TTL (Time to Live) of the relevant DNS records to 300 seconds (5 minutes) before the migration, where possible.
